Book Review: The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory

In the spirit of the holiday season, today’s recommendation is a fun and lighthearted read. I blew through this book in one sitting.

•THE WEDDING DATE• by Jasmine Guillory

Genre: Romance

The wedding date is one of those super charming rom coms where you practically know what’s going to happen but you enjoy it anyway. The meet-cute and wedding itself push this book into a fiery start, however, it does feel like the plot plateaus into a less exciting back and forth once the wedding weekend wraps. The characters are witty and charming and you can’t help but root for them. What I struggled with was the bad communication between them. So much of their problems could have been solved by simply communicating, they ended things about three times during the book and that’s honestly too many for me. Regardless, it’s a great read, from their adorable meet-cute in an elevator to their real-world conversations, Alexa and Drew have great chemistry and that much is clear from the start.

Super short review because it’s a Sunday and Sundays are for unwinding 😌 I hope everyone had a great weekend!

We give this ⭐⭐⭐⭐
