Book Review: The Death of Vivek Oji by Akwaeke Emezi

This is the second book by Awake Emezi we are reading this year! The first one if you remember was #freshwater which we loved!

Listened to this book on @audible_uk and it was narrated by Iwuji Chukwudi and Yeti Badaki who in my opinion did and excellent job in bringing the characters to life!

This book is for the faint hearted! It is extremely emotional!

Themes are #extremisminreligion#mentalhealth#parentchildrelationships #overprotectiveparents#sexuality#selfidentity#queerphobia#adultery#beingforeigninnewland#domesticviolence

Trigger warning scenes are rape and incest

We rated this ⭐⭐⭐⭐
